Born and raised in South Africa, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte before moving to London, where I’ve spent most of my career. Along the way, I’ve held senior finance roles—including Head of FP&A—where I learned firsthand that Excel skills can make or break your ability to analyse data and tell a compelling story.
But here’s the thing: I didn’t find Excel easy at first. I remember how overwhelming it felt not knowing where to start. What I eventually discovered is that you don’t need to master everything—just a handful of powerful functions can turn you into a rockstar at work.
